Compost Tea

Master Gardener Ricky Kemery was our guest on Mid-Morning today and he shared his recipe for "Compost Tea."

NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION!!!!! Didn't want you to think this was some new weight loss idea!! This is for your garden!!!

Directions:

* Fill a 5 gallon bucket almost full of water

* Place a large handful of FRESH compost in ankle-length panty hose and tie off the hose.

* Dunk the "teabag" into the bucket several times and then leave it in the bucket

* Cover the bucket

* Repeat for 3 days

* Pour the tea in a hand sprayer and spray foliage.
