Mercy Me!

Hey there! Did any of you get to attend the Mercy Me concert this past Saturday night out at Blackhawk Ministries? GREAT concert! I was out there with Scott Tsuleff and Diane Hooley, and we had so much fun. Thought you might like to see some pictures!

Scott was the quizzer extraordinaire for the Meet and Greet - which started with Adam Cappa. He opened for Mercy Me. GREAT guy. What a humble heart and desire to serve the Lord!!
Then Mercy Me came in and answered questions for a while.
 Scott with the whole crowd....
And Diane with the band (and Adam).
I was so excited to have Ryan with me that night and we had our picture taken with them too but I have to wait until I can get it from Trinity's photographer. My arm was not long enough to self-photograph that many people! :)

Scott and I made a few announcements before the concert began. This was Scott announcing my engagement. I'll clap for that!!!!
Doesn't it look like I'm singing to Scott? LOL!!! I'm not. I was talking about the Fresh Grounded Faith conference.
And then we threw fling rings. Oh sweet people. Here's your public service announcement. If you're ever in my line of fire....BEWARE!! I did not play sports for a reason!!!
Adam did the opening part of the concert - great worship leader!
And then Mercy Me took the stage.
They sang so many great songs...I love this group so much!
 Lots of worship going on....
 A sweet night.
For those of you who came up to the table to talk to us - we loved that! We always love meeting you!!

Doppelgangers and Such

Well...did you catch yesterday's BLT show? We cracked our own selves up. It was quite a morning - including a segment on doppelgangers. Doppelwhaters???? Doppelgangers. Lookalikes. Does anyone ever tell you that you look like someone famous?

Our Lynne Ford has always been told she looks like Susan Lucci. MY WORD. It's so true. Check it OUT:
As for me - I've been told I look like Flo the Progressive Girl. What do you think? (I went back to a hair era when I might have resembled her a bit more.

Lynne and I went to a website and uploaded pictures of ourselves to see who the official facial recognition software said we look like. Lynne used the picture above....and here were her (hilarious) results: Sarah Jessica Parker (her strongest resemblance....?????), FOLLOWED BY - Gary Sinese!!!!!!! and then Richard Dreyfuss, Cate Blanchett, JERRY SPRINGER!!!!!, Carmen Electra, Michael Keaton, Sigourney Weaver, Jessica Alba, and Jennifer Lopez. How in the world do Jerry Springer and Jennifer Lopez even end up in the same screen???? I'm still crying laughing.

I started with this picture:
My main match was Mariah Carey. Ehhh....but okay. Then Kelly Clarkson. Okay I can sort of see that. Also on the list: Sophia Loren. Well, if I were twice my age...maybe. Sandra Bullock was on the list. THANK YOU for that one. I love her! Also - Claire Danes. (Lynne actually thinks I look a lot like Claire and she's so pretty, so I'll take that.) And then - are you ready? John Lithgow. Really???? And the kicker: George W. Bush. REALLY!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?

So then, I put in this picture - just to see:
You are going to love this lineup. In this picture I most look like...are you ready? MADELEINE ALBRIGHT. Are you KIDDING ME? Second choice? PETER O'TOOLE. Peter O'Toole!!!!!!!! Also on the list: Evan Rachel Wood and Britney Spears - I don't really agree but at least they're you know - female and not in my grandparents' age bracket. And then back to the men - apparently in this photo, I also look like Nick Nolte. And not just Nick. But a BEARDED Nick. Lovely. And finally...and I can certainly see the STRIKING resemblance here: Kobe Bryant. I'll pause while you roll your eyes.

In other BLT news - Lynne and I did story time with y'all. (Complete with story music and everything!) I can't even do Lynne's story JUSTICE. If you missed it - you just have to go hear it. Cracks me up every single time. Every time.

And my story had to do with the time I accidentally turned my hair neon orange - followed by Ronald McDonald Red. Want to see photos? Check them out here.

And can I just submit to you that sometimes (read: always) GOING TO THE SALON IS WORTH IT!!!

And a final photo to leave you with today....

Lynne and I also talked about the time we sampled Lip Ink at the Women's Expo. One thing I will say for this is that it has incredible staying power. Too bad I don't really want to wear this shade.
(Or maybe it's just a picture of Kobe Bryant with Susan Lucci.)

"For Women Only" - Even Single Ones

Right after Shaunti Feldhahn's book For Women Only came out in 2004, the ladies Bible study I taught spent a few weeks looking over it. Since I wasn't married (and was only in my mid-twenties at the time) - I stepped aside as the leader and our pastor and his wife stepped in to teach us about how men and women so easily misinterpret each other.

Before we did that series, I marched into the bookstore and purchased a copy of the book, underlining carefully along the way the nuggets of wisdom I found. And as Pastor Steve and Cheri spoke to us in those nights of Bible study, I leaned forward from my spot on the living room floor, soaking up all their words.

Can I say this to those of you who are single (or who know single people)? I am so grateful I invested so much of my twenties into preparing for marriage - including studying the principles Shaunti revealed in this book. It seemed stupid - even to me. I wasn't in a relationship. For the most part, I had no hope of finding a relationship. People raised an eyebrow when I read (in truth - devoured) books on love and marriage. They raised MORE eyebrows when I went to seminars and study groups on marriage. But I was desperate to soak in as much as I could...for someday.

I had no idea all the way back then that when God brought love to me, He would do so at breakneck speed. That I would date for two months and become engaged...for two months...and get married. All this time has been devoted to wedding planning and negotiating logistics of finances and households and schedules. And yet I'm not at all nervous to embark on this journey because I feel prepared.

Sure, I know I don't know everything. Sure, I'll mess up. Sure, I have a lot to learn. I know all those things. But because I read books like this one, I feel that I've done a good job of preparing - even when it seemed I was preparing in vain.

So to you...dear single friends out there...don't shy away from reading this book or any other marriage prep book. You never know when you might need a decade's worth of information in a few months...

And for you dear married friends...don't shy away from books like this one that might grow your marriage in wildly wonderful ways. You might be surprised what you can learn that would transform your relationship into something you never knew it could be.

Before I go...some nuggets of truth I learned from Shaunti's book For Women Only...years ago...that I implemented with Ryan from the beginning:

"A man deeply needs the woman in his life to respect his knowledge, opinions, and decisions."

"Women hold an incredible power in the way we communicate with our men...to build them up or to tear them down, to encourage or to exasperate."

"We can take every opportunity, in public and private, to demonstrate - by words and actions - how proud we are of our men and how much we trust them. Just as we love to hear 'I love you,' a man's heart is powerfully touched by a few simple words: 'I'm so proud of you.'"

"If a man knows that his wife believes in him, he is empowered to do better in every area of his life."

"At the most basic level, your man wants to be wanted."

"Do we love the men in our lives for who they are, or for who we want them to be? Do we want to support our husbands, or to change them?"

Powerful thoughts. And ones I am so glad I learned 8 years ago...and I hope to live out well as I begin my marriage.

We'd Love You To Join Us!!!

Have you ever been to a women's conference? I've been to a few in my day...and I always love the chance to sneak away for a bit, be around a bunch of women who are seeking the heart of the Lord like I am, and the laughter and tears always brought on by the speakers.

But I have to say that Fresh Grounded Faith has been on of my most favorite conferences EVER. And just in case you haven't been to this one, let me show you the fun Lynne and I had at this conference last spring over in Lima, Ohio!

This is one of our favorite parts: being at our table to meet you! (I won't be able to be at this one, but almost all the WBCL ladies will be there to meet you - so come out and say hi to us!) Lynne will be there and she'd love to meet with you and hug you.
This is a new "season" of FGF, so the set will probably look a little different from this one, but I loved how homey it was. Lamps and tables and chairs and rugs. It really does feel like you're having coffee with the gang! (Lynne shared from the stage this past spring...she's not part of the speaking lineup though!)
If you've never heard Jennifer speak, you can do so by listening to this morning's interview with Lynne (and then keep listening to hear Lynne talk to Lisa Whelchel and Michael O'Brien), but let me tell you. She's not preachy and condemning. She's warm, loving, full of grace, full of humor, full of wisdom, and full of a passion to draw women closer to the Lord. You'll laugh, you'll ponder, you'll scribble in your journal, you'll learn, and you might even find a tear in your eye. (All things are the mark of a good speaker!)
This time, Jennifer is traveling with Lisa Whelchel and Michael O'Brien, not Kathy and Carl as you see pictured below, but I just wanted you to see another perk of the conference - FREEBIES!! They do some fun giveaways...and as you can see, it's a time filled with much fun, too.
Another great thing about this conference - it doesn't take your entire weekend. It starts on Friday evening and just takes about 2 1/2 hours that night - and then Saturday morning - and you go home at lunch! You can have the whole rest of the day to be back with your family or sneak away to shop and drink coffee or whatever you want to do! It's the perfect time frame.
You'll find Jennifer, Lisa, and Michael to be incredibly warm, friendly, and real. They conclude the conference with a Q&A time - and you'll have the chance to ask questions to the three of them!
So if you're not sure...can I just urge you to try it? Get a ticket to the conference - take a girlfriend with you if you want - and enjoy the presence of the Lord and the encouragement to go forward boldly in your faith!!

Go here for details!

Coming Your Way!!!

Today on Mid-Morning, Lynne and I shared some of our favorite nuggets of wisdom from Focus on the Family's new duo of books: The Best Advice I Ever Got on Marriage and The Best Advice I Ever Got on Parenting.

With my wedding just six weeks away, I devoured the marriage book, and I wanted to share one tiny snippet, by Gary Thomas. (The books, by the way, are compiled by FOTF President Jim Daly and each chapter is written by a different person or couple - and you'd probably recognize most of their names.) Gary said "So when I realized I am married to God's daughter - and that you, women, are married to God's sons - my view of marriage completely changed. God feels about my wife - His daughter - in an even holier and more passionate way than I feel about my own daughters...one of my primary forms of worship throughout the rest of my life would be honoring God by taking care of a woman who would always be, in His divine mind, 'His little girl.'" (p. 20)

I can't even top that. But I can try to live it out as I pledge my life to Ryan...my Abba's son.

Next week, we are continuing the theme of great practical life-wisdom. Let me give you some of the sneak peeks!!

Monday is Lynne's big Fresh Grounded Faith bash! Did you know that conference is coming to town? It will be November 9-10 (Friday/Saturday) here in Fort Wayne! Lynne and I worked this conference in Lima, Ohio earlier this year and y'all...you'll love it. If you can go - GO! One great thing about this conference is that it only takes place Friday evening and Saturday morning, so if it's hard to get time off work or you have kids at home that need your attention, it's a shorter conference!

Jennifer Rothschild is the speaker at FGF - and I adored her. She's so delightful in absolutely every way. It was a treat to meet her this spring and I know if you go - you'll love her too. She has the sweetest spirit and deeply desires to pull women closer to the Lord. (And she loves coffee. That can't be bad, right???)
Jennifer's special guest this time is Lisa Whelchel. You might remember her from the TV Show The Facts of Life - but most recently she's been on TV this season of Survivor! She'll be talking with Lynne on Monday, too!
And she won't be done yet!! At the end of the show, Lynne will interview Michael O'Brien who does the music for this round of FGF! I heard Michael do music at E-Women last fall - and oh my goodness! What a great musician and what a sweet heart for the Lord and for his wife! Don't miss Mid-Morning and these three great guests!

Also next week - Shaunti Feldhahn will talk with us about her book For Women Only. It's not a new book - but it has GREAT insights in it to understanding how men think and operate. I remember studying it with the Bible study I led - probably about 8 years ago when it first released, and I STILL remember this line by heart because it so impacted me: "...the male need for respect and affirmation - especially from his woman - is so hardwired and so critical that most men would rather feel unloved than disrespected or inadequate." (p.22) If you've not read this book, check it out and tune in to hear Lynne's talk with Shaunti!

Lorraine Pintus was on Mid-Morning many months ago to talk about the book she co-wrote with Linda Dillow, called Intimate Issues. It is still one of our most-listened-to shows on the archives. Y'all showed us how much you CRAVE answers to the questions no one even wants to dare to ask. If you missed Lorraine's first interview with Lynne and you want to hear her wisdom, you can listen to it here. But guess what? She's coming back! We're going to be with her for a whole hour next Wednesday...and we'll take your questions via phone, Facebook and email. Please know you can ask your questions anonymously! Join us for that!

Next Thursday....It's BLT DAY!!!!! You all are loving BLT (or so you tell us) and we sincerely have a BLAST sharing that day with you. It's one of our favorite things. We're going to talk about (among other things) celebrity doppelgangers. Do you have one? I'm saving the one I get most for the show - but I've also been told I look like Katey Sagal. What do you think?

I think it's the expression.

Don't miss Mid-Morning next week. It's going to be a great week!

Thursday Thoughts

This week has been FLYING by. At least here. (My apologies to those of you who are NOT flying along this week...hate those dragging weeks!)

Anyway, one of our FAVORITE things this week has been the chance to chat with you! Last Saturday was the WBCL Family Health and Wellness Day here at the Summit (the campus where our station is located) - and so many of you stopped to chat with us. We loved that so much.

Lynne heard someone say that Mid-Morning is filled with the presence of the Spirit, and I have to tell you - that was one of the best things anyone could tell us. We pray over this show and the topics we schedule, and to know that people sense on THAT side of the radio what we feel on THIS side, is incredibly affirming. So dear friend who talked to Lynne - thank you for lifting her up with that word!

I loved meeting so many of you who love BLT, and one sweet friend told me it feels like we're all just sitting down together for coffee when she hears BLT. LOVE THAT. That's our goal. We want to reach you in the deep places with the guests we schedule, but like any good friendship, sometimes we just want a good, fun day. So thanks for seeing that in BLT!

And I just have to tell you, after today's BLT show - y'all eat some WEIRD stuff. Is there NOTHING you won't put peanut butter on?? (If you missed the show - catch it, but not while you're eating. It might sort of kill your appetite.)

And I ALSO have to tell you that the last caller we had this morning...the one whose strangest fridge discovery was a CAT...wins the most creative award for that category. Seriously! A cat! In the fridge!

So now you're caught up on life in Mid-Morning land...and can I add that I only have FORTY FIVE DAYS until my wedding? My GOODNESS I need to step up the 30 Day Shred!!

Busy Weeks

I'm sure you never have any of those, do you? Busy weeks? Weeks when you don't have time to sleep because you don't have enough time to even be awake...so how in the world would you have time to SLEEP?

Weeks when a nutritious dinner is something like a Snickers bar and a coke? (Don't believe me about that being nutritious? Well I'm no nutritionist but I can rationalize that for you in a big way if you  need it - so just let me know.)

We've had one of those weeks here in the Mid-Morning office. Lynne and I were gone Monday for our planning day, which of course means we've been a day off in our minds all week. (Don't you HATE that?)

So we breezed back into the office Tuesday morning with our packed black holes of brown boxes (see post below if that made no sense) and began unpacking the work we created for ourselves over the weekend.

Lynne has been rushing about this week preparing so hard for the WBCL Family Health and Wellness Day, which is tomorrow (not too late to get a ticket to hear Dr. Ann's presentation!!). I'm amazed at how much work she can turn out in a short amount of time. We've just kept her supplied with iced tea and Kind bars and she's somehow managed to keep up. I'd take a picture for you but she has been moving too quickly and it would just be a blur!

And I'm trying to figure out how to juggle the work created on planning day with planning a wedding! Ryan and I set a date - of December SECOND of this year. That's something like 51 days from now. I got some plannin' to do!  I'm pretty blessed with a spreadsheet making, planning loving, detail oriented fiance, so he's been handling all the big stuff - like reservations and booking of photographers and videographers and such, and I've been free to focus on things like picking out outfits for engagement pictures, scheduling my pre-wedding manicure, and gearing up for the big dress shopping extravaganza.

(Want to see a sneak peek of the engagement pics?)

And somewhere in all of that - we both try to grab a bit of sleep so we can get up and do it again the next day.

So your details might be different from ours. You might not be planning a wedding or gearing up to talk with Dr. Ann, but you're busy. We know that. You're trying to catch naps when you can - stay sane - read your Bible on the go - all of it. We get it.

And that's why we pick the topics we do...we want to sit with you for an hour and help you with everything from relationships to health to finding time to connect with God. We know you're busy, but we so appreciate the time you make for us and we hope what you hear on our show helps you!!

From the busyness of our office...know that we love you and pray for you!!!

And That's How it Happens

This past Monday, Lynne and I spent a day planning...planning...planning...all about the show happenings between now and the end of the year.

Know what a day of planning takes??

A lot of Kind bars....

A LOT of iced tea. And I mean A LOT of iced tea.

My old job was all about numbers. The extent of the creativity was figuring out how to learn numbers. That takes a lot of creativity.

So it is a joy and a half to have a job where you can spend a day over a lot (a LOT) of iced tea with one of your best friends and figure out what you want to do for the rest of the year for a whole host of listeners you love spending time with every single day - even if you can't see them.

But let me just tell you one little secret. A little skeleton in the closet, if you will.

Lynne started it.

She started piling ideas in a brown box. And every night she hides the brown box in her cabinet. Every morning she pulls it out and it sits, perched beside her chair, filled with promise of future shows. But to me it's just...well...it's not a neatly organized file. (Shhhh don't tell her.)

I call it the black hole of a brown box.

And. It. Makes. Me. A. Tiny. Bit. Crazy. (Not enough for it to matter - because it stays on HER side of the room...)

And that is why....it pains me to say...after I went away with Lynne for our Kind bar, iced tea laden planning day....

...this appeared next to my desk.

GASP.

I have my own black hole of a brown box.

I guess this must be the secret to the Mid-Morning creative genius?????

I Did NOT See That One Coming...

...It was such a normal Thursday. You know, last Thursday, October 4, 2012. That Thursday. I came to work having a semi-skinny day, with my face safely tucked in my bag (aka I hadn't yet applied my makeup), and a bottle of nail polish in my purse to replace the chipped Colts blue polish I'd removed that morning.

Slowly, throughout the morning, I applied my face, I polished my nails, and I checked and rechecked my stack of papers to make sure I had everything I needed to share another day of BLT with Lynne.

The show started and the only thing out of the ordinary was the fact that Lynne and I were sitting in the same room together. Because, you know, we were having phone problems.

Except...ummm...we were NOT having phone problems!!

It was all a LIE!!! (The best lie I've ever been told in my entire life.)

Did you get to hear the show? Oh my goodness, people. OH MY GOODNESS.

When that door open and the love of my life breezed through looking all handsome in his blue shirt and those amazing dimples that get me every time....

(And I in my undone roots...oh ladies. Never run around with your roots undone. You just never know when you might find a handsome man on one knee in front of you delivering the most BEAUTIFUL speech in which he asks you to be his wife.)

And I, waterworks girl OF THE WORLD, did not cry. I managed to keep my wits about me so I could soak up every single word he said to me. And I did.

Want to read what he said? Sheryl Glancy just so happened to transcribe it for me as a gift - so let me just tell you:

Rebekah Joy Freelan, you have stirred my heart in a way that I never thought imaginable. I never dreamed I would meet a woman so amazing, so beautiful, so ready to be a wife that God intended and so lovely in every way. You make me want to be a great man and a great leader that I am called to be. Neither one of us had an easy road to get to where we are, but you have made it all worthwhile and I love you so much. I am totally taken back at how God has orchestrated this love story between us and I just love you. I love your big beautiful smile. I love the way you look at me with such affection. I love the way you treasure our God. I love your creativity. I love your writings. I love your journaling. I love your joy for life and the way you want to please me and make me happy. I love the way that you have become such a strong and brave woman and what that looks like. I love how you love me with such a pure, true, and abundant love - you're so amazing. I want to wake up with you every single morning and I want to snuggle up with you every single night. I want to enjoy life with you - whatever that looks like and wherever it is - I don't care - I just want to be with you. I want us to go on this journey together and have more fun than ever thought possible. You are my reward and I will cherish you. I want you; will you give me the honor of being your husband? Bekah, will you marry me?

(*line in bold was my favorite line of the entire proposal.)

And then he pulled out a ring...
AND I SAID YES!!!!
And if you want to hear his awesome delivery of this moment...check it out here:

I've been blogging about the details of the proposal over on my blog so if you're a hopeless romantic, go check it out.

One of the biggest blessings of this event has been the way we've seen God use our love story to touch hearts that felt perhaps God had forgotten...or stopped writing. Sweet friends, I spent a lotta years feeling that way, but I can assure you that every photo above is a photo of REDEMPTION. OF God sweeping into the lives of a broken girl and a broken guy and mending hearts to trust and love again.

He. Is. Faithful.

Stand on it. We are.

Waiting

Did you catch Lynne's interview with Adele Ahlberg Calhoun?

She talked about wanting something so deeply...waiting for it so long...and how sometimes we do anything rather than wait - even make bad choices - because waiting is just too painful.

Have you been there?

Has your happiness been tied to something that isn't God - and you haven't waited for God to become everything to you?

Are you there now?

We get that. Lynne and I both get that. We have waited long for answers to prayer in our life. And I won't speak for Lynne on this but I'll tell you right out loud that I haven't always waited WELL.

Waiting is hard. My house has been on the market for over a year. That has been a huge test of trusting and learning one of my favorite things: patience. Doesn't matter what you're waiting for...when your mind is focused on it...it's hard.

But right now, God is calling me to SIT STILL. And He brought this to mind:

The Israelites were (still) wandering around...no doubt very tired of waiting on the Promised Land. Waiting on food other than manna. And in this particular part...waiting on some water. They were thirsty. A legitimate complaint. I'd whine if I needed a drink too. And God, who had provided water to Moses and the people once before, said to Moses:

“Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.” (Numbers 20:8)

SPEAK to the rock. And what did Moses do?

"Moses took the staff from the Lord’s presence, just as he commanded him. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, 'Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?' Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank." (Numbers 20:9-11)

He didn't follow directions. He was supposed to speak to the rock and instead, he struck it. He did that because the last time they needed water, striking the rock had been the command. But not this time. This time it was...speak.

I noticed as I studied it...that the method did, in fact, work. Water gushed out. They got what they wanted, but they got it in the totally wrong way.

And as a result, God said “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” (Numbers 20:12)

Gulp.

In this season of waiting...my job is to sit. Sit and learn. Sit and wait for God to speak life into His plan...in His time and in His way. To resist the urge to strike the rock.

I have a feeling I might forget this, so I went out into the yard and found a rock and a stick to bring inside...one for home and one for work.

Because when all is said and done, I want to enjoy the blessing of His favor and I want to honor Him as holy. I want to prove faithful with the journey entrusted to me.

Catching Up

Hi there! We were out of commission last week because I (Bekah) was down for the count part of the week. Anyone else get one of those annoying fall cold/flu/what-in-the-world-is-this-crazy-ickiness feeling? Not fun. But we're back and we have all kinds of news for you. How about a bullet point sort of blog post? Can you handle that? (And be sure to go all the way down...fun news at the bottom!)

* Last Monday we welcomed Stephen Adair - a local attorney who specializes in elder law. He had some great advice, so if you missed the show, check it out here!

* And speaking of elder law...in two weeks, we're having Write a Will week here at WBCL with local attorneys volunteering time to help educate you on the importance of having a will and to offer short, helpful individual appointments on will writing. If you're in the area and would like more information, check out our web page!

* And then last Tuesday, we had this darling, energetic sweetheart of an entrepreneur who joined us for the hour to talk about taking your hobby and turning it into a business. If that's been a dream of yours, check out what she had to say, because you might find some really helpful pointers! Her book is called Craft, Inc. and you can get it on Amazon if you want to read more of what she had to say!

* Okay, confession time!! My life has been CRAZY busy lately (more on that later in the blog post) and I admit it...my quiet time with my sweet Abba has suffered. I hate even writing that. But it's true. My swirling brain hasn't quieted and calmed enough to focus on Him. And one of my goals for the month of October is to reinstate that sacred time. If I'm struggling with it as a single girl...I can only imagine what you wives and moms have to juggle to make time for everything! Last Wednesday, we interviewed 3 sweet ladies on the importance of intimacy with the Lord. Really great (non-condemning) words...don't miss that on the archives!

* You loving BLT? We sure are. Oh my goodness. We so love that show every week! Last week we played some TV trivia and talked about some books that have impacted our lives - and we threw in our two cents on fall fashion, too. (And if you need a What-Not-to-Wear treasure, don't miss my recap of an UBER unfortunate outfit I sported recently.

* And we wrapped up the week with a Kitchen Caboodle show...that was a lot of fun! So. What I'm saying is if you missed Mid-Morning last week, you missed some fun! So go check it out!!

* SO excited to report to you that I SURVIVED THE FORT4FITNESS 10K RUN!!!!!! I would prattle on about it here, but I already did that today over on my blog and I hate to repeat myself unnecessarily, so if you want the full recap, head over there and check it out. Here's a sample photo - but there are a bunch more over on my blog.
* Today was the day our MMe-Note went out, and Lynne wrote an AMAZING note at the end of it. Hope you got to see it! She talked about her son, who was recently married to a beautiful girl (beautiful inside and out!!). In case you missed the MMe-Note, wanna see the sweet newlyweds? Here they are!
* And the final piece of news I have for you is just a bit of Bekah personal life news, but I'm SO excited to share it with you!! I'm dating! I'm talking about that this week on my blog as well, so in the next few days, you can read the love story I so adore...that God's been writing these past few weeks. His name is Ryan, and he is one of the best gifts the Lord has EVER sent my way. I am so, so happy. Want to meet him? Here we are right before the Selah concert a couple of weeks ago!
Okay. That's a HUGE catch-up. Thanks for reading along!!!
